Find the perfect fit for your riding goals

Buying your first road bike or upgrading can feel overwhelming. The right choice will make a big difference to your comfort, performance, and long-term enjoyment of cycling.

Our Pre-Purchase Bike Assessment gives you the knowledge you need to make an informed decision before you buy.

What's included?
  • Interview about your cycling goals, background, and injury history
  • Body measurements (height, inseam, arm length, shoulder width)
  • Screening of flexibility, posture, strength, and movement control
  • Foot assessment to help guide shoe and cleat choice

From this, we will:

  • Identify the right bike type, size, and geometry for you
  • Explain key measurements such as stack and reach
  • Highlight any individual needs (e.g. crank length, handlebar width, pedal spindle width, seat post offset)

You’ll also receive an email report and have the option of a 20-minute online follow-up to review specific bike options.

Option 1:
If you do not own a bike

Book a Pre-Purchase Bike Assessment (60 minutes – $299)

This service is designed for people who don’t currently own a road bike, or don’t have access to one for fitting.

What’s Included

  • Interview about your cycling goals, background, and injury history
  • Body measurements (height, inseam, arm length, shoulder width)
  • Screening of flexibility, posture, strength, and movement control
  • Foot assessment to help guide shoe and cleat choice

From this, we will:

  • Identify the right bike type, size, and geometry for you
  • Explain key measurements such as stack and reach
  • Highlight any individual needs (e.g. crank length, handlebar width, pedal spindle width, seat post offset)

✅ You’ll also receive a written report and a 20-minute online follow-up session (included) to review specific bikes you are considering.

If you would like your new bike fitted once purchased, you can book a New Bike Follow Up (60 minutes – $199).

Option 2:
If you already own a bike

Book a Full Initial Bike Fit (2 hours – $399)

If you already ride a bike and are planning to buy a new one, the best option is to be fitted on your current bike first. This gives the most accurate information to guide your new purchase and ensures you don’t base decisions on a poorly set-up bike.

From this process, you will:

  • Know if your current bike is suitable or not
  • Experience a new, optimised position before buying your next bike
  • Use geometry details from your fitted bike to compare directly with new models

Once you purchase your new bike, you can book a Follow-Up Bike Fit (60 minutes – $199) to get it dialled in.

NB: You will end up with two bikes correctly fitted to your body.

Benefits of a pre-purchase assessment

Confidence in your purchase – know the right bike type, size, and geometry before you buy

Avoid costly mistakes – prevent buying a bike that doesn’t suit your body or riding goals

Personalised recommendations – guidance based on your measurements, flexibility, and cycling history

Set up for success – ensure comfort, performance, and long-term injury prevention from day one

What is the best way to decide on your next bike?

Fitting you on your existing bike, even one that is many years old, will provide us with much more information to base your next bike purchase on. For starters, we can ascertain whether your current bike is in fact suitable for you, and ensure that you are set up in an ideal position. It would be unwise to base the purchase of your next bike on one that is causing you issues or not fitted correctly in the first place! Your experiences on your current bike, especially as it relates to discomfort, can indicate what attributes and differences you should look for in your next bike.

We can also then use the geometry details and measurements of your current bike to choose components such as stem length, handlebar width and reach, seat post length and offset, and crank length on your next bike.

So, the BEST way to ensuring your next bike is the right one for you, is to:

  • Identify the new bikes candidates
  • Have a bike fit on your current bike – the current bike may be able to be set up in a way that replicates the geometry of the bike you are considering purchasing
  • Ride the current bike with the new fit to confirm whether it is good or not for at least 3-4 weeks (depending on how much you ride)
  • Compare the new bike geometry to your current bike and see if it will work for you and what changes are needed from stock components
  • Return for a follow up session to have the new bike position dialled in
