
Peter Sweeny
Physiotherapy
Peter has been a track, road and cross country runner with state titles and podium finishes at open and age group. More recently Peter has transitioned to ultra-trail running, competing in the 2015 Northface100 in the Blue Mountains. Peter has also competed in Olympic distance triathlons and is a keen recreational rider, his longest ride being a 1700km charity ride from Adelaide to Uluru.
After graduating from the European School of Physiotherapy in Amsterdam, Peter has worked in private practice in the Netherlands and Sydney, as well as orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation in Sydney. Peter has worked with leading surgeons in both pre and post surgical rehabilitation helping patients right through to a full return to sport.
Peter has a keen interest in sports-specific rehabilitation, lower limb biomechanics, overuse injuries in runners and cyclists, and strength and conditioning programs.
